SOLD

A small antique wooden seven spindle Windsor side chair measuring approximately 29" tall, 17" wide, and about 15" deep.  Inscribed on the bottom in white paint is "Geo. Ellicott Ellicotts Mills Born 1760 Died 1832".  We do not know whether he was the maker of this chair or the owner.  It is in good antique condition, with wear and tear commensurate with age and use - dings and scratches found commonly on antique furniture.  There is some damage/loss in particular to the top corners of the chair (please see photos).  There are traces of red and white paint and brown stain on the bottom as well, so the surface is not original.  The top of the back of the chair can be loosened from the two outermost spindles.  There are no major problems.  This is small enough to be a child's chair, but we're not sure if that's what it was.
