Going Green

Are you concerned with the environmental impact of your actions?  While “going green” may be a priority for some more than others, we can all benefit from being good stewards of our environment.

Have you ever considered what will ultimately happen to all of your “stuff?”  The quality and craftmanship of the things you own will often determine whether they end up in a landfill or in a home for generations to come.

Well, would you still prefer brand new furniture, often mass manufactured using

petroleum, and generally NOT made to last?

What about a unique and beautiful piece of handmade craftsmanship that is 150+ years old?  Visit us on any given day and you will find multiple pieces of this age, often in original condition!  A piece this old, still in good condition, is sure to last many more years to come with proper care.

Furnishing your home with antiques is about as GREEN as you can get.  By purchasing pieces handmade by some person many years ago, rather than inferior mass produced modern products, you will reduce your environmental impact tremendously – AND every antique addition to your home will give it more character and beauty.
