It’s hard to believe March is here! Last weekend was great in the shop, and we so enjoyed seeing so many regulars and new customers! Many of you found us for the first time as a result of the Loft Tour and/or the feature on our loft which ran in The News & Advance and The Burg. Welcome, and we are so happy you found us!
We want you to know that we care about our customers – each of you, buyers and sellers alike! You may have noticed that we update our site regularly – it is important to us to keep a web presence that is not stagnant. We strive to keep our Window Shopping page up to date, but keep in mind that we do not photograph 100% of our inventory – AND we love seeing you, so it is always best to swing by and browse!
Sunday, February 17, 2013:
We will be on the Downtown Loft Tour to benefit the Free Clinic next Saturday, February 23! The tour lasts from 10am – 4pm; you can purchase tickets at the Free Clinic, Lynch’s Landing, the Visitor’s Center etc. This is a great opportunity to view the living spaces inside some of the great old buildings in downtown Lynchburg, and it is for a great cause!
Of course, if the loft tour is not your cup of tea, you could simply swing by the shop to view our latest acquisitions, including a lovely 19th century English cellarette, our selection of early sacking bottom beds, and our magnificent oil on canvas portrait of Napoleon

We hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season! We want to thank our customers for a successful December and to let our followers know that we expect a number of new acquisitions in the next several weeks! We hope you will notice a transition over the next year, as we try to hone in on the direction we wish to take the shop. We plan be more selective in our acquisitions and focus on carrying earlier and better quality pieces, at reasonable prices.
Please note our special expanded holiday hours this week, as we will be open 12-5 on both New Years Eve and New Years Day. I can think of no better way to ring in the new year than with a beautiful new (to you) antique!

Happy Black Friday! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Many thanks to those of you who came out to support the shop today – the downtown Lynchburg shopping scene is such a welcome change of pace from the Black Friday big box store madness.
We hope to see many of you here tomorrow for Small Business Saturday – be sure and check on the American Express deal if you have an American Express card and register your card for the $25 statement credit – this applies tomorrow ONLY, if you spend at least $25 in one transaction at a qualifying small business (yes, we qualify)! – but you must register your card at their website!
We are open 10-5 tomorrow – why not spend the morning at the Community Market, grab a bite to eat, and visit us, along with the other wonderful merchants downtown? We would all love to see you. Gift more thoughtfully this holiday season and buy local!
